Our monthly tuition is based on weekly attendance. It is based on how many classes per week one is
expecting to attend. Payments are due by the first of each month, with the exception of
persons paying the "per class" rate. Additional details are listed below.

Bujinkan Membership Dues -
Hombu Dôjô
After one receives their first promotion, they are required to pay yearly membership
dues to the Hombu Dôjô in Japan. These membership dues are collected at the end of each
calendar year by the York Bujinkan Dôjô and forwarded to Japan. In return, Hatsumi
Sensei sends everyone their own membership card that is valid for one year. The cost of
this yearly membership is determined by Hatsumi Sensei, and is $25 USD. This membership is a requirement by Hatsumi Sensei, as
indicated in the Bujinkan Dôjô Rules. Many seminars and training events offer discounts
for persons with Bujinkan memberships, so, the savings can pay for the membership.
We can also send for membership cards for persons not training at the York Bujinkan

Promotion Fees
There is a nominal fee charged for each promotion. This fee is forwarded to Japan. In
return the student receives a personalized certificate of rank originating from Masaaki
Hatsumi, Grandmaster of the Bujinkan Dôjô! The fee structure for Certificates
and Promotions is set by Hatsumi Sensei. The fee for each Kyû level (non-black belt)
promotion is $25 USD. Black belt promotions are higher, the exact fees are
listed on the following link. See our "Promotions & Rank" section for more details
on promotions.
T.S.D.S. can process and send for promotions and
certificates for persons not training at the York Bujinkan
Dôjô. Payment must be received in advance. Promotions may be subject to
verification, with the promoting instructor, to insure that the application
and promotion are legitimate and accurate.
