Each year several people are killed negligently while practicing with "unloaded" firearms. Don't you, or your training partner, become another statistic. Non-firing "dummy-guns" should always be used when the muzzle will, or may, point towards another person during practice training.

This includes training in firearm retention and disarms and close-quarter drawing with a training "attacker" to name a few. These training weapons are identical in size to the actual firearm, so they can be holstered properly allowing the user to  practice "draw-stroke through sight-picture" safely, and in areas that are not safe for drawing live, or even "unloaded," weapons for training.

We believe the best training firearms available are Ring's Manufacturing's Blue Guns. These are very rigid training weapons made to the same size as the fully functioning firearm so they can be used with standard holsters. We have used both the Blue Guns and the Red Guns in the past and prefer the Blue Guns. Blue Guns have generally smoother edges than the Red Guns. We have found the edges and corners of Red Guns to be sharp enough to easily scratch and cause bleeding of the hands and arms of the user and the training partner. While it is possible to be scratched with the Blue Guns, we find it to happen much less frequently than with the Red Guns.
